The humphead cichlid lives in deep rock bottom areas in Africa. It eats other fish and macro-invertebrates. Pieces of mollusc shells have also been found in the gut.
Fun facts: This fish a territorial animal. If they’re hungry, they will eat smaller fish in the area. In their native lands though, they are considered a delicacy.
