Marlin

 

This billfish is called a marlin.

These fish live in tropical and temperate waters of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans. The marlin’s diet consists of feeding on mackerel and tuna, but will also dive deep to eat squid.

Fun facts: Marlins can grow up to 11 feet and weight up to 200 to 400 pounds. The females are significantly larger than the males and can grow up to 14 feet in length and weight up to almost 2000 pounds. In the book Old Man By The Sea a fisherman battle with a marlin.
